PRESTO - Identity Preserving Facelift Technique

Dear colleagues,

Producing youthful facial appearence by face-lifting often comes along with an undesired loss of a patients individual phenotype characteristics. This may result from insufficient perservation of retaining ligaments, the “dynamic guardians of facial identity” and from complete severance of the intersegmental connections of the superficial musculo-aponeurotic system (SMAS) which tether, structure and compartmentalize facial soft tissue into defined, cosmetically relevant anatomical zones.

How to do deep plane rhytidectomy easy, save fast and protecting the personal identity?

Our PRESTO Medicon Course 2017

Medicon Course PRESTO – Identity Preserving Facelift Technique – Preserving of the retaining ligaments & the SMAS tethering

Our Medicon Course PRESTO took place for the first time from June 22 – 24, 2017 at the Clinic Dr. Funk – Clinic for Plastic, Aesthetic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery (http://www.schoenheitsklinik.com/) in Munich. The course was of great interest and fully booked already several weeks prior to the start of the course.

During the course, 12 participants had the chance to learn about the facelift technique PRESTO developed by Dr. Dr. Funk, owner and head physician of the Clinic Dr. Funk. This is a new, vascular- and soft tissue-saving surgical technique, requiring less time than conventional techniques. The soft tissue spreader PRESTO which has been developed by Dr. Dr. Funk in cooperation with Medicon is perfectly suitable for carrying out this surgical technique. You will find detailed information about the product via the following link:

In the beginning of the two-day course Dr. Dr. Funk familiarized the participants with the theoretical basics of facelifting and the surgical technique PRESTO. The subsequent surgical case offered the participants a detailed insight into this reliable and proven surgical procedure. During the hands-on workshop, all the participants had the chance to make practical use of the newly acquired knowledge, to exchange experiences and to profit from individual feedback of Dr. Dr. Funk.

We would like to thank all participants – also on behalf of Dr. Dr. Funk – for the great cooperation, positive feedback and the very successful course!
